For too long, multispecialty groups have lacked a dedicated voice. Many have been part of medical group associations dominated by non-independent practices with priorities that are often different.

As a result, the ability to advocate for independent multispecialty interests has been limited — until now. With the launch of IMGA, and through the support of our HeadStart Partner, Glen Sumner, that is changing.

As CEO of OrthoTennessee and co-founder of OrthoForum — a network of nearly 150 independent orthopedic practices — Glen has helped build a strong advocacy program that is already making an impact for independent medical groups. Given the strong alignment of challenges between multispecialty and orthopedic groups, Glen has proposed that we join forces, giving the opportunity to independent multispecialty practices to finally have a voice.
