In September 2024, 13 highly respected independent multi-specialty groups from across the country met in Colorado Springs, CO. Recognizing that there was no single organization that advocated specifically for independent multispecialty practices, it set about establishing the Independent Multispecialty Group Alliance (IMGA) to form a coalition of like-minded groups working towards its core objectives of:
- preserving autonomy
- optimizing operational efficiencies
- driving growth
- enhancing value-based care
CORNERSTONES
During the initial IMGA Steering Committee meeting, members outlined the foundations of an organization designed to fulfill IMGA’s core objectives: preserving independence, sharing industry best practices, and providing a voice for advocacy. These foundational cornerstones are:
